The ABC's Of Success
Written by William Bond

The ABCs of Success is much more then listening to a motivational speaker, or a graduation speaker, telling about all the reasons why you can be a success. You and you alone are the manager of how you put the ABCs of your personal success together. You know what you enjoy doing, and what success you have attained in your life, and now it means being able to put together a program for your success, based on where you are right now in your life. I will offer you a few simple tips to help you succeed in today's difficult, but challenging world.
1). What do you have for a skill set? What skills, talents, abilities, and most of all is your: Passion. What would you rather do than anything else in life. Do your like to sell, teach, work with numbers, perform technical work, work with people, write, act, or something else? Often time you might be able to combine a few key skills, and this opens the doors to more opportunities, such as teaching and sales work, both skills work with people and help the student or customer. The key is to find your most important passion in your life.
2). A passion is something what you have that sets you apart from most people, you have an excitement about it, and you enjoy doing it, and you have a confidence in your self while doing it, your passion takes you on a very exciting journey, because you found the secret to your success. A passion can be writing, speaking, putting things together, building things, starting businesses, or anything you enjoy doing so much, you can't wait to get to work to do it. Finding your passion makes the ABC's of success all come together. Passions can last for months, a year, decades or more. You can and must manage your passions.
3) Manage your passions and your lifelong success. Early in your working career you might start with a single passion, but passions changes with time, the economy, or your own interest, or other factors, when it starts to recede, you need to make a decision, do you stay with this passion, or do you choose another one? Success needs to be managed by most of all: YOU. Most people think that other people close to them will help them decide on the best passion, but you must be in charge. Become your own success manager.
4). Life is a series of cycles, and the management of each success cycle is crucial. Be willing to make changes in your life to make your success last longer, or choose other opportunities to become more successful, use your past experience to help you make the best decisions, and continue to use the lifetime skills such as: working like you owned your own passion, your use good time management, and you set and reach your priorities, you are not afraid to take chances to reach successful conclusions, and be willing to do all the work necessary to attain the success and rewards for yourself. Ride out one cycle to reach the next one, and by being a lifelong learner, you will be able to continue your success. One of the ABC's of success is accepting and learning from setbacks and failure.
5). Successful people know that setbacks and difficult failure are all lessons in life. No one ever succeeded in life, without finding failure around a corner, and they succeeded by addressing it, and taking the hit, and then going back to the ABC's of Success drawing board, and finding the best next move to succeed again. The present recession is a very good example of this principle, stop beating yourself up for getting laid off, this occurrence has nothing to do with you. You have been a victim of the economical times, use that important energy to start a new passion, and work hard to make it work. Become your own best friend, and believe in you.
6). Stay true to yourself, success takes time, and when you continue to make action on making today count, a new success with arrive for you. Two important success skills are needed for continual success: one is persistence, continue to keep trying when things look bleak, ask for what you need, when success is show, work harder. The second one is: perseverance this is the continual habit of getting a yes for an answer, to counteract a simple "no'. Keep trying. Never give up on yourself, keep performing at the level you need to attain your success, and you will reap the rewards. Now let's sum up the ABC's of Success in your life.
You and you alone are the ultimate manager of the length and breadth, of your performance and success. You know yourself better about your skills, talents, abilities, interests than others. Keep managing your success, like the owner of a successful business runs his/her own business. Yes, your success is your business, from good ideas, to sound time management, top priorities, and continuing to give yourself a lifetime education, become dean of your own university, and continue to do the little and big things necessary to get the success you need to reach your mark in life. Your life is a special gift. Never give up on you: You are too important, not to give yourself what you need to succeed. You have all you need: GO FOR IT.
