Weekly Inspiration

Pray First, React Second

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
1 John 5:14-15 (NIV)

Have you ever been so disappointed with something or in someone in your life that your first reaction about it was to lash out in anger or revenge?

Have your emotions ever felt so strong you felt like you would crumble or that you couldn't barely stand the feeling?

Sometimes as we go along, life throws us a curve ball and right at that very moment we have to decide how we will choose to deal with the situation.

Instead of using the anger or any other negative emotion we may feel to retaliate against those who are against us - let's use it as an ally.

Let us really pray about the situation and pray for those involved. Let us really practice love and forgiveness.

I think this may be one of the hardest things to do when you are feeling betrayed.

However, the more we turn to the word of God first, instead of reacting first, the faster our situation works out for us.

Be encouraged to fight the good fight!

Blessings,

Tina
