What Do You Put Your Trust In?

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct they paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Many times we hear the phrase “Trust God,” but how many of us truly can say we know what that means? How many of us can truly say, we’ve been in a situation, where we chose to step out on faith and trust God instead of leaning on our own understanding about a situation?

I have learned that trusting God will sometimes require you to do that thing that may seem the least popular to do at times. It will sometimes cause you to do things that no one in the world understands.

It is that feeling of stepping out of your comfort zone. That feeling as if you were on the edge of the cliff and you needed God to catch you and just at that last moment, He showed up with not only a solution and resolve to what you had been waiting for, but something even better than what you could have thought of or imagined for yourself.

There have been many times in my life, when I could have chosen to trust God and in all of those instances I chose the opposite.

God had to bring me to a place where I was left to do nothing else but to trust Him in order for Him to show me that He would never let me down.

As I begin to trust God more and more with my whole life, trusting Him becomes easier to do.

Faith is not about what your eyes can see – it is about believing God for what He says in His word is true.

When the challenges of life come, instead of murmuring and complaining, began to focus on God and the things He would have for you to do. Give thanks and praise for all the things that He has done in your life, instead of focusing on the one or few things that does not appear to be right in your life.

When you are grateful to God, giving Him praise, the more you receive from Him.

Contrary to logical beliefs – God truly does come through for you. Even better than what you could have come up with on your own.

When you test this out for your life, watch and see what happens.

When I think back over my life, even with me doing things in the way that I thought was right – even then, God showed up and worked out my situation. He always does.

Just knowing this, be encouraged with whatever challenge you may face.

No longer allow fear to keep you from experiencing the fullness of God. Trust Him and watch how He shows up.

Renew your mind, change your life.

Blessings,

Tina

If you desire to start a relationship with God and are not sure how to began, say this prayer and mean it in your heart – Dear God, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner in need of a Savoir. I believe that You died for my sins, rose from the grave and are alive forever. I open the door of my heart and life, receiving You, Jesus Christ, as my Savior and Lord.  Thank You for saving me.  Amen.
